She threw a surprised look at me, if she was not ill, but she agreed. Having changed clothes, I took a fresh newspaper (thank God, not a word about me) and settled into an easy chair, waiting for my companion. And so she came out of the bedroom, as always charming.

Since this my escape from home was by no means the first, but the longest, I knew quite a few interesting places, so I rushed to show them right off the bat. It turned out that she is an excellent conversationalist and we have many common topics for conversation; who knows, if I were more polite and bolder, maybe I would have understood it before. We enthusiastically argued about which time of the year was the most pleasant and, of course, agreed on the spring of Ashley’s favorite season. They discussed which countries they would like to visit, mocked the high society, just smiled.

- Young man, you have such a beautiful girl. Maybe buy her flowers? Said the flower girl as we passed by.

My companion embarrassedly began to study the asphalt under her feet, and I hurriedly bought the best, most beautiful bouquet and handed it to her, instead of starting to say that she was my friend. The inner voice reminded me again: hardly a friend.

- What do you want to do now? - Ashley asked me when we crossed the road.

I did not have time to answer. Some crazy driver at a breakneck speed rushed into the red light and nearly knocked down the girl; I miraculously managed to literally pull it out from under the wheels.

- Learn to drive, jerking off your hands! - I shouted after him, completely forgetting that I firmly clasp in the arms of a well-bred person.

She, apparently, barely opened my mouth, plugged my ears and began to hum something like “la-la-la”. It was so strange, but at the same time childishly cute, that I completely forgot about all the sophisticated tortures for a crooked motorist.

“Forgive me, it burst out,” I muttered ridiculously.

- What exactly? - asked the girl in surprise.

Still, she really was unusual. In a good sense of the word. Ashley's voice ripped me out of my thoughts:

- Um, Tyler, maybe you still let me go?

It dawned on me that I still hold her to me. And the fact that I absolutely do not want to let her go.

- Let's just do it like this? - Ashley looked into my eyes and took my hand.

- Come on.

After a short silence, the girl again started a conversation.

- You so did not answer me, what are you going to do next?

I thought. But really, what's next?

“Now I don't have a clue.” All that I do is only solid emotions.

In the distance, a bar familiar to me loomed.

- Let's sit there? I know the bartender, I suggested to Ashley.

We entered a small restaurant and sat down at a bar counter on high stools.

“Khe-khe,” I drew the attention of a young guy with a short Mohawk on his head.

He turned in our direction, and his face broke into a smile.

- Hi, Ty. Judging by what is written in the newspapers, you are very, very busy.

I laughed.

- Newspapers can not be trusted, Simon.

- Well, so in every duck there is some truth. What will you drink? Although I do not think that with such a charming companion you need to get drunk to unconsciousness.

Ashley flustered rosy.

- Two orange-chocolate martini.

After serving us, Simon after a while went to clean the glasses, and we continued our conversation.

“Have you thought about going home?” - asked the girl, taking a sip.

“Yes,” I replied, after a pause, “I thought. And, perhaps, I will think again.

“You won’t run away from fate,” said Ashley seriously, “you are the heir to the Aderley clan, this cannot be changed.”

“But you left the house too.”

“But I warned my father, and convinced him that I needed it!”

Our voices became louder and some visitors began to look around.

“My family also knew about my leaving,” I recalled in detail the events of that day.

- These are completely different things! - Could not stand the girl.

- Do you love me so much?

The question sounded so unexpectedly that Ashley first opened her mouth in surprise, then blushed, and turned away a second later. I hugged her, but the girl turned back to me and her lips were dangerously close to mine.

- Yes. And I will never love anyone like that, ”she said softly.

I really wanted to say something to her, but I could not find the words.

- Do you want ice cream?

Without waiting for an answer, I took her hand and we left the bar. Only then did the right words come to mind.

“I like you very much,” I said softly, “since I saw you.”

Her answer was a happy brown eyes.

In Regents Park, I bought us two large portions of chocolate ice cream with nuts and strawberry syrup. It was very crowded, and after several unsuccessful attempts to find a cozy place, we retired right under the oak: to look at the clouds and argue what they look like.

“Look, this looks like a teddy bear,” Ashley laughed and looked at me.

At one point, her lips, lightly stained with chocolate, were so close that I immediately wanted to kiss her, pull her close and never let go. As if in a dream, I touched the palm of her face, outlined my cheekbones, and ran both hands into the girl's gorgeous hair. He pressed his lips timidly to his lips, as if doubting whether to do it. Pleasant sweet taste. Ashley was embarrassed, but answered a kiss. After a few seconds we broke away from each other, and she just laid her head on my chest.

“And the truth seems to be,” I replied, enjoying the moments of calm.

She made me drunk no worse than aged whiskey. We were so good together, that we completely forgot about the time and left the park when dusk came and got cold.

“Strange, it's so empty here,” said the girl thoughtfully.

I looked around. And indeed, the street along which we walked was surprisingly empty: there was no drone of cars, no crowds of people, everything that I was used to in London. It feels like this is not London at all. At the crossroads, Ashley stopped.

- I saw one movie, there the main characters lay right on the road. I want it too!

At this point, the girl very much reminded me of a capricious child.

- Or maybe it's still not worth it?

- Do not be a bore!

Ashley had already laid down on the roadway, leaving me no choice.

- Why would such a dramatic change? - I asked.

She raised herself on her elbow and looked at me in surprise.

- What are you talking about?

- Well, you were a model of correctness for me, and now you simply lie at a crossroads.

“I spent my whole life at Waterback Hall, so I really want to do something crazy!” - exclaimed the girl.

- What are we doing now? The car can drive at any minute.

- So, let's not waste time!

Ashley wanted to kiss me, but the sound of the engine in the distance made us go back to the sidewalk.

“We have one unfinished business,” I whispered.

Putting my hands on the girl's waist, I next kissed her eagerly, enjoying the taste of her lips.

On the way we went into a small shop, I needed to buy cigarettes.

- Ty, - Ashley stopped shyly, - can I call you that?

- Of course!

- Such a wonderful evening, I'll stand on the street, okay?

There was no queue, so I quickly settled and left the store. But my companion was gone, disappeared without a trace.

- Ashley! - I shouted, - Ashley!

As if in response, there was a kind of choked cry from the gateway nearby. The most terrible thoughts scrolled in my head in a whirlwind, and I rushed there. From what I saw, my fists clenched so that my knuckles turned white, never before have I experienced such anger, rage and desire to cripple. Some tramp pressed the girl to the wall, trying to reach into her panties, but Ashley still had the strength to resist. The dress was torn and barely covered the gorgeous figure .... Read more →
